A new service is being launched in the Humber region that is aimed at those who want to start their own businesses and need advice about how to do so.
Called the “Start Up Support Service”, it is the brainchild of the Business Growth Hub, which is part of the Humber Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP). Anyone living in the area that has ambitions to set up a business of their own will be eligible for the service, as will those who have been in business for less than 12 months.
It will feature a mix of networking opportunities with business peers, master classes in fields relevant to the business, workshops and in-person help and guidance from a personal advisor. Staff working for the service will all be highly experienced in helping start-ups to develop workable business plans and strategies for success.
Manager of the Growth Hub, Jon Brunton, told Business Live that the hub was delighted to be able to launch this service for Humberside start-ups, before adding:
“Many people in our region will either be in the process of or be considering starting their own business and we want them to be as knowledgeable, confident and well-informed as possible as they take what can be quite a daunting step in starting their own businesses.”
Brunton concluded by pointing out that resilience was vital to business success, and this service would look to provide start-ups with that. Financial advice from an accountant for small business in South Yorkshire can also make start-ups more able to cope with setbacks.
