One way we do that? Our bi-annual team away days. 

It’s one of the very few days where our clients won’t get their usual lightning-fast responses—and that’s because we’re investing in something just as important: our team’s development, wellbeing, and future. 

 

💼 What Happens on an Adaptive Accountancy Away Day? 

Our away days are designed to give the team space to step back from the day-to-day workload and focus on big-picture thinking, individual growth, and of course—a bit of fun. 

Here’s how we structure the day: 

 

☀️ Morning Session: Strategy & Big Picture Thinking 

We kick things off with a strategic session where we explore:
Where is Adaptive Accountancy heading as a firm?
What will our team look like 6–12 months from now?
What service improvements can we implement to benefit clients?
What are our revenue goals and KPIs? 

This is where we dream big—and involve the entire team in helping shape the business’s direction. 

 

🔧 Afternoon Session: Practical Planning & Team Development 

After a refreshing lunch, we switch gears into the nitty-gritty. 

This session focuses on: 

  • The day-to-day changes needed to hit our long-term goals 
  • Personal development plans for each team member 
  • How we work better together, improve systems, and raise our standards 

Everyone leaves with actionable steps they can take to help move the business forward—and themselves. 

 

🍽️ Lunch & Fun: Because Culture Matters Too 

Lunch is more than a meal—it’s a chance to connect and recharge. This time we’re heading to The Twisted Tree in Castleford, recommended by our own Saskia (so the pressure’s on for it to be a winner!). 

And after lunch? We’re off for a friendly but fiercely competitive game of bowling. 

Spoiler: I’ve promised to win… and jokingly threatened that anyone who beats me might be updating their CVs.
(Just kidding! …or am I? 😅)
