Today, I’m in London attending the Digital Accounting Show—an event that’s become a key date in my calendar.
This will be my second time attending, and while the reasons I’m here may have evolved since last year, the purpose remains the same: to learn, stay ahead of the curve, and continue growing Adaptive Accountancy into the modern, forward-thinking firm our clients deserve.
Reflecting on Last Year
When I first attended, we were knee-deep in rebuilding internal processes. We had outgrown some of our systems, and I was actively seeking out new software solutions to futureproof the practice. It was all about infrastructure, efficiency, and finding the right tech stack to support our growth.
This Year: A Focus on Learning and Industry Insight
This time, it’s different. I’m here almost entirely to learn.
The talks and panel discussions on offer are packed with insights on:
- Future trends in the accounting industry
- Emerging technologies
- Evolving client expectations
- Strategies for modern practice growth
Staying up to date with industry innovation and digital trends isn’t optional—it’s essential. As the owner of a growing practice, it’s my responsibility to understand where the industry is going, so we can evolve our services, develop our team, and deliver real value to our clients before they even know they need it.
Fuel for the Vision
I’m sure I’ll leave just as motivated and inspired as I did last year. These events aren’t just great for CPD—they’re fuel for the bigger vision of building something special.
If you’re here too and spot me, don’t be a stranger! Pop over and say hi (and please wave enthusiastically—my eyesight’s terrible 😂).
