Those local firms that have made it to the final stages of the Federation of Small Businesses’ (FSB) Yorkshire and the Humber awards have now been officially revealed.
All entries for the 2022 awards have closed now and the final shortlist for this year features a number of firms based in York and other parts of the region. The purpose of these annual awards is to recognise those living in the area who have made a success of their small businesses, and will no doubt be keenly anticipated after year’s event had to be scrapped due to the pandemic.
Among those who are in contention for prizes this year is The Potions Cauldron Ltd, which is a finalist in the category ‘High Growth Business’ for its new Potions Express outlet.
Elsewhere, family run firm Rae & Rae Independent Opticians is up for an award in the category for micro businesses. A specialist family business accountant in Goole can be a real source of help and advice to a growing firm such as this.
Speaking to the York Press, Carolyn Frank from the FSB stated that the organisation was looking forward to the awards night, before going on to add that:
“This will be a great celebration of the resilience and success of the small business community and one of our first large-scale face-to-face events for a long time.”
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on February 25th in the Principal Hotel, York. All winners will then go on and contest the national FSB awards for 2022.
